The 2024 Southeast New Mexico Small Business Development Conference takes place at the Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell (ENMU-R) Performing Arts Center, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The no-cost conference is the place for information and inspiration for small business start-ups and growing businesses. The conference is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs and business owners in Southeast New Mexico to new levels of success. This conference will provide valuable insights and strategies to help small business owners grow and succeed through booms and recessions.
The conference is without cost and will feature workshops/trainings, keynote speakers, resources, lenders, and a networking lunch. This is an opportunity for small business owners to stay ahead and informed, gain valuable knowledge, and understand the direction in which the industry is heading. Building these relationships also opens doors to future partnerships, job opportunities, and mentorship.

The Southeast New Mexico Small Business Development Conference is a great platform to share ideas and best practices for growing and managing a successful business. The most important element of this event will be bringing together resources within the small business industry, which provide positive impacts on small businesses. This year’s conference is expected to attract many attendees. The conference is also a meeting place for businesses to make those important connections to resources.
Participants have the opportunity to attend workshops and training, hear from experienced speakers, and acquire new skills to improve their business. Several workshops/training sessions will be offered for attendees to choose from.
Highlights of the conference include keynote presentations by industry leaders and experts in government contracting, virtual selling, financial management, strategic sales development, human resource management, SBA 504 and 7A loans, business planning, strategic planning and execution, entrepreneurship and beyond. Breakout sessions focus on key areas of business management and organizational growth and development. Expect networking opportunities to connect and to develop referral partners. There will be sponsor booths showcasing their opportunities in helping Southeast New Mexico grow.
